Catch You Next Week!

Biko is away, AGAIN.

He sent me a half-sleepy, non-punctuated text this morning to ask me to inform you that he won’t be around today. So, in the light of his telephonic washing of hands, I feel obliged to ramble away until I run out of words (highly unlikely given I’m the noisiest chatterbox in the history of chatter boxing) or until one of us comes up with a story.

He’s in New York, which means that because of the 8-hour time difference, we only get to experience day light together (assuming night falls at 6pm sharp in Nairobi and day light starts at 6 am in New York) for four hours only, or in further words, that his texts will continue to sound drowsy and incoherent for as long as he is away.

However, we promise to have something for you next week.

Speaking of New York, have you read Brennan’s “Long-winded Lady?”

  1. Oh, how I wish the clock would turn back to those days 3 years ago when every Tuesday brought an instalment of tears, joy, chagrin or delight.
Tales of the resilience or the crushing of the human spirit: two sides of a harsh world.

Biko has changed, and – in my eyes – not for the better, i say.
But, do i dare complain loudly? After all, every single word, i receive it from him for free.

    1. I totally get you. The dopamine I got from those posts 3 years back, is what gets me back to Biko’s homepage every Tuesday with the hopes that my ‘addiction’ will be fed.
But now, now I’m afraid I’m sobering up. I appreciate you Biko. You made me a reader.

  4. Instead of leaving faithful readers high and dry, just be bold enough to hang your boots and let someone else who is committed to this daily dose take over. Hata Oyunga Pala alienda, na serikali ikanyamaza tu.
